Director | Taahir Sarguro
Taahir's interest for the arts began with acting in theatre productions from a young age. His passion quickly grew into him making mini documentaries and mockumentaries throughout high school. Just like Taahir's creativity abilities warms viewers hearts and allows them to connect to each other, so too does Taahir personality. He is truly an absolute kind soul to work with.
Producer | Amina Booley
Upon producing a high school theatre production by accident, Amina fell in love. It wasn’t until Amina accepted she was a creative that she realised how big her passion for the arts is. What continues to inspire her is the power that media plays in our lives and representation within media. Amina is sometimes like a mother to the crew and a wonderfully hard working human being who always gives 100%.
Actor | Mieke Van Zyl
Mieke has studied acting at the New York Film Academy and has 12 years of singing experiences in both solo and in a choir. You can often hear Mieke switching between English and Afrikaans as she is fluent in both. One thing for sure, nothing stops her from a challenge and assisting in anyway possible. Her focus is always whats best for the production and team before herself. Having Mieke on the crew during the uncertain times of Covid-19 has made our crew even more grateful and appreciative of her.
Cinematographer | Masedi Ranyane
Masedi has been going for it all since 2013 and is not stopping anytime soon. Masedi’s career started with him filming long-boarding videos with friends and editing on his phone. He believes in telling any story in the best way possible. Masedi at not even 20 years of age has worked with brands such as Blackrapid, Daniel Wellington, Prism LensFX, Total Sport and Outdoor Photos. What keeps his crew loving him is how humble he is and always willing to learn with us.
1st Assistant Director | Tino Charles Mudiwa
Tinotenda Charles Mudiwa was doing drama since before he can remember. It was not until he stopped that he realised it was were his happiest is and thats what could him into film.
Tino is the cool, calm and collected person everyone needs on set. The producers can give Tino a look and he will know what he needs to do.
Production Designer | Eva de Ravel de l'Argentiere
Eva was introduce to film during high school and she enjoyed it more than she imagined. At first she wanted to work as a cinematographer in Wildlife Documentaries. However she soon realised her love was always interior design and decoration. This passion is what makes Eva an exciting part of our team. She’s not only making sets beautiful but she also bring her vibrate and warm energy to set. Now and then you will still find Eva with a camera in hand enjoying another form of being a creative.
Production Designer | Eduard Rautenbach
Better known as Eddie, Eduard Rautenbach has been passionate about films since he can remember. It wasn’t until his first production design class that he found love. Eddie loves being creative and thinking up ideas to make the most out of a space. While Eddies crew loves hearing his thoughts on the latest films and he always has us laughing, anyone else can view Eddie's thoughts through his youtube channel as well.
Costume, Make-up & Stylist | Kai Gossman
Kai was intrigued by how makeup and character design could allow her to make characters lifelike and realistic. She always loved relating to characters and turning into them specifically as a child and she would love to contribute to another child dream fantasy of being a character. Kai has worked on music videos, Mzanzi Films and at Fashion Week already. Her energy feels like a warm hug and will get you into a brighter mood. Kai is perfect for those days when the set life is tough.
Visual Effects Artist | Khaleel Tayob
Khaleel wanted to be part of the film industry as every project is different and challenges him in a new way. He chose visual effects as it opens up the doors to creating anything. Khaleel currently runs a small business, Crisis Studios that creates digital logos and effects for other companies. Sometimes Khaleel believes he belongs in every department, you can find him on location scouts, props shopping and even marketing trips with the producer. It’s one of the things that makes Khaleel special and makes the rest of the crew experiences easier.
Editor & Sound Designer | Nicolas Cattelan
If you ever need a reference film with a deep analysis Nic is your guy. This is no surprise as Nic was inspired to make films as a young child as a result of the adventure and wonderment he felt while watching films like Raiders of The Lost Ark and Back to The Future. Superseding any political or social incentive a sense of fun and adventure he finds to be the most valuable in motion picture entertainment to impart good. Nic is always on set with some random facts but also there to make it memorable in the weirdest way possible.
Music Composer | Gastel Rakotobe
What inspired Gastel into pursuing music composition was how stories could be told using it without any picture. He is also a man of many other talents. He is a dance and fight choreographer with 10 years experiences in classical, contemporary, old school hip hop and breakdancing. He also learned capoeira, Aikido and Muai Thai. Gastel was also a freelance photographer for Natural Geographic and has done photography for events, music album art and landscapes. Gastel is a man of few words but his melodies along with his helpful ways is always a win for those working with him.
